Independent Baptist Ladies Message Board

Vessels Unto Honour was created to be a haven of rest and fellowship for Independent Fundamental Baptist ladies. The Lord instructed us in His Word that the older women are to teach the younger women. (Titus 2:3-5) We are striving to follow His instructions through this message board. In so doing, we can truly become His Vessels Unto Honour.

Our desires for this haven include simple Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do create a place where we can relax, share our burdens with one another, and be a part of each others daily lives. You know...like regular, sitting down with a cup of coffee to chat: FRIENDS.

  • Do understand those in the ministry

  • Do kindly lift up each other

  • Do pray for one another

  • Do truly love each other

  • Don't be a judgmental group and judge others unrighteously

  • Don't argue the Bible and wound our own

All ladies MUST be a member of an independent Baptist church, under the authority of a man of God, not a woman preacher.

This is an Independent, Fundamental, King James Bible Only, Baptist Ladies message board, not an ecumenical group. It is not for Pentecostal/Charismatic, Calvanists, Armeneists - (teach you can lose your salvation), non-Christian, occult, Wicca, New Age, etc. It is only for ladies attending Independent, Fundamental, Baptist churches who follow our doctrinal statement.

This club is also not for individuals in churches that belong to the GARBC, RBC, SBC, BBF, or any other churches that are part of any other associations that allow in its membership/fellowship churches, groups or individuals that do not follow our rules/doctrinal statement.

We hold the King James Bible (1611) - (not the New King James) as THE Word of God preserved for the English speaking world. The KJ Bible is not a "preference", it is a conviction. We do not believe the KJ Bible is "advanced revelation." It will NEVER be a place to debate the Bible. We believe the King James Bible is the Word of God in English and the Bible will always be the FINAL answer to any argument.

We hold Biblical standards for modesty and godliness, music, living, etc. (i.e. We're "Old Fashioned": we believe it is wrong for a man to have long hair, a woman to wear pants ("that which pertaineth unto a man") but we will allow ladies to join who do not hold the modesty conviction, but are willing to learn and not cause contention on this issue.

VUH does not promote "Christian" Rock, Jazz, Soft Rock, Rap, Country, Contemporary Southern Gospel, including CCM or any eceumenical groups. These types of music were created to please the flesh and concentrate on the drums and the beat rather than solely glorifying the Lord, Jesus Christ. Therefore, all posts promoting music of this kind will be removed. We ask that you honor our stand by not posting in favour of these groups.

Some things that Vessels Unto Honour is not:

  • A place to play "roast preacher", or "roast church member", or "roast ANYONE"

  • A church

  • A group which usurps authority over your husband or pastor

Slandering and gossip of Husbands, IFB Pastors or Missionaries is NOT permitted.

All posts must be worded discretely without the mentioning of names when discussing sensitive or difficult situations. "Too much" information will result in the post being edited by the moderators.

Critiquing of doctrinal stand and/or immoral lifestyle in light of God's Word, does not fall under this. God's people are commanded to "earnestly contend for the faith," but we will not allow a gossip session.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

We are not here to tell your Pastor how to run the church where God has put him in authority. If you are in charge of a particular event and need ideas, ask away! However, let God's man run God's church.

We have a lot of homeschoolers (but not all) and full time Christian workers to bounce our ideas off of. Do not feel badly if you do not homeschool or do not have your children in Christian school. We do feel homeschooling and Christian schools are the better options; but not everyone can do so - each family must decide for themselves what is best for them.

Many of our ladies are very busy and post as they can. During some months you will hear from certain people more than others. We have missionaries from all around the world from China to the Ukraine to Mexico. We don't expect anything more out of them than friendship, but what a blessing they have been!

We do not criticize or put down. We pray for each other and consider the ladies to be our friends. We are not easily offended and do not require that everyone answers every single post. Although some of them are not answered, all of them are read.

VUH is a closed board because the privacy and security of each of the members is important to the administrators. Therefore, your username and password are just that - YOUR username and password. Under absolutely no circumstances are you ever to share your username and/or password with anyone. Doing so will result in being removed and banned from VUH.

Due to concerns for the safety and privacy of our members no post from this board will be copied and shared elsewhere without the express permission of the author.

As the Bible says, ministries should be under the direction of a local church and a a Preacher of right doctrine*, final say should rest with Jennifer's husband, Pastor Vince Williams.

* Preacher of right doctrine - as laid out especially in I and II Timothy.

We also have other ladies who are members of churches of like faith and practice who help with the administration and moderating of the message board. This is a lovely group of wonderful ladies, and we do not want to become a group that argues or tries to push our opinions on each other about personal preferences (not talking about convictions here). It is supposed to be a nice place to come and get encouragement from people who believe the same way you do.

Remember though, when a lady enters our message board with our established rules and convictions and chooses to be contentious and hinder our sweet place of fellowship, we have no choice but to remove that individual. We do not have authority over you, but we do have authority over how this group is run and will make full effort to maintain its purity and sweet spirit. These rules are non-negotiable.  If, after you have joined, your conduct in the group makes it clear you do not abide by these rules, you will be kindly asked to leave. Please do so peaceably.  This has happened rarely and we really hope it stays that way.
